FOREST CITY – A man convicted of sex crimes in at least two North Iowa counties is faces new charges of sex crimes against a child.
Chad Bonner, listed as an inmate in the Winnebago county jail in Forest City, has been charged after an investigation in Winnebago county with two counts of second-degree sexual abuse and one count of indecent contact with a child, both felonies. The charges come after an investigation by the state’s Division of Criminal Investigation and Winnebago county authorities. He was arrested June 28 and remains behind bars, awaiting a July 7 hearing.
Additionally, Bonner faces a sex abuse charge in Worth county.
Bonner was convicted in Cerro Gordo county in 1991 of third-degree sexual abuse. He was also convicted in Winnebago county in 2010 with dissemination of obscene material and sexual exploitation of a minor.
