CLEAR LAKE -Two motorcycles collided this afternoon in Clear Lake, sending one to the hospital.
The Clear Lake Fire Department (CLFD) was dispatched to the intersection of Southbound I35 Exit 194 South and US Highway 18 for a 2 vehicle motorcycle collision with injury on Thursday, June 29, 2017 at approximately 3:57 PM. The Clear Lake Fire Department responded with 1 rescue truck and 1 command vehicle with 4 firefighters. Upon arrival, the CLFD reported there was a 2 motorcycle collision with one female patient sitting on the side of the road. It appears they were coming off the exit ramp when the back motor cycle ran into the front motor cycle causing it to tip over.
The female patient was transferred to Mercy Medical Center North Iowa by Mason City Fire Department with an apparent leg injury.
The accident remains under investigation.
The CLFD was assisted on Scene by Mason City Fire Department, the Iowa State Patrol and the Clear Lake Police Department.
Hell 1/2 the people driving cars don’t know how to drive anymore, why would anyone think that it would be any different for motorcycle riders
