Mason City man to stand trial for lascivious acts with a child and sex abuse

MASON CITY – A Mason City man who was taken to jail on a charge of lascivious acts with a child and felony sex abuse says he’s not guilty and awaits trial.

Mason City police went to 1414 South Wilson Avenue on May 6 at about 9 PM, seeking out 37-year-old Christopher Alan Hull, who was wanted on an arrest warrant. Hull is accused of a felony crime of lascivious acts with a child and felony sexual abuse in the second-degree, crimes he allegedly committed back in June of 2015 and June of 2016. Officers arrested Hull and took him to the county jail, where he has remained ever since, held on $10,000 cash bond. His request earlier this month to be released was denied by a judge.

Hull entered a not-guilty plea on Monday, June 27. He now awaits an August 8 jury trial and a July 25 pre-trial conference.

Hull also faces a charge of operating while intoxicated and has entered a guilty plea in that case.
