MASON CITY – An arrest has been made in the robbery of a Mason City home that took place on Monday, March 27th. On that date officers responded to a residence in the 1000 block of East State Street on a report that a man had been assaulted and a safe was stolen.
Today officers arrested Devon Matthew Reckner (19) of Mason City in connection with this incident. Reckner was charged with 1st Degree Robbery a class B felony. He is currently being held at the Cerro Gordo County Jail.
Also wanted in connection with this robbery is Austin Mitchel Hasfjord (18) of Clear Lake. An arrest warrant has been issued for Hasfjord for 1st Degree Robbery.

Officers responded to a residence in the 1000 block of East State Street shortly after noon today on a report that the resident had been assaulted by three men wearing masks.
The male victim told officers that he answered a knock at his door and when he opened the door three men wearing masks entered his home. The victim was assaulted and then held down by one suspect while the others searched his home. The suspects stole a small safe containing currency and fled the residence.
The victim who was the only occupant of the home at that time was transported to the emergency room by private vehicle.
