DES MOINES – Donald Trump got all 6 electoral votes in Iowa, officially, today.
Iowa Secretary of State Paul Pate reported this afternoon that “Iowa’s six electors unanimously cast their votes for Donald Trump and Mike Pence.”
The Iowa Rpublican Party thanked the electors for their service, saying “Thank you to Iowa’s six faithful presidential electors for reflecting the will of Iowans. Your service is greatly appreciated.”
Across the country, as is taking place in Iowa, electors in the Electoral College are casting their final votes. Donald Trump will gain the needed 270 and a lot more to become the next President of the United States. He won the Electoral College after the November 8 election 306 to 232 over Hillary Clinton, who won the popular vote by more than 2 million votes. It was reported today that between 4 and 7 electors had left the Hillary Clinton camp and instead went for Trump.
