DES MOINES – State Senator Amanda Ragan of Mason City will help shape the work of the 2017 session of the Iowa Legislature through participation on several Iowa Senate committees.
Senator Ragan will serve as the ranking member of the Health and Human Services Budget Appropriations Committee. She will also be a member of the Agriculture Committee, Appropriations Committee, Human Resources Committee, Rules and Administration Committee, and Veterans Committee.
“I’m glad I will continue to help lead Iowa’s policy on Medicaid and other health care issues as the top Democrat on the Health and Human Services Budget Appropriations Committee,” said Ragan. “I will also have a strong voice in issues important to our area as a member of the Agriculture and Veterans Committees.”
The 2017 Iowa Legislative session begins January 9 in Des Moines.
