Opinion: Bookmeyer too toxic to be mixed up with

While the percentage of overall voters might have been deemed light, it was the outright thrashing of O’Brien that sent an unmistakable “shot across the bow” of Bookmeyer’s ilk.

Paul Adams’ totals tell a much greater story; O’Brien was mostly portrayed as Bookmeyer’s man. What then does that say? It says Bookmeyer is toxic… not a man to be connected with any longer. People were voting against Bookmeyer and it wasn’t close. When Alex Kuhn died it woke up this city. Those councilpersons who voted yes were stripped bare, the facade that they hid behind is gone…

I think Adams will do well for our city and I think Alex would be more than pleased.

Bookmeyer needs to be thrown out of office. That bullcrap with Prestage hurt our community. He did that to us. Get him out of office.

Maybe the headline could’ve said “too intoxicated” instead of too toxic? Oh well, I guess either one would be correct.

More crap from the same guy who bad mouthed Max Weaver because the Globe Gazette paid him. I lost all respect for this guy years ago and now he thinks he is a political pundit that we should listen to. Go screw people on their siding some more. Yes.

Just another satisfied customer.

I don’t see a predominant council person at that table. Paul Adams will be intimated unless he proves himself from the onset. That he stands up to Bookmeyer and shows this community just who he is.

It will be hard for him because he will be alone. He should use the next year and a half as a learning experience. After the next election maybe he can get some help. We will not see the bullying, it will be done behind in the work sessions and committee meetings where we can’t see it happening. I hope Paul brings in to light when it happens so the public can support him.

Drunkmeyer will Try to bully and shame Paul, just like he did to Alex..May God rest his soul.! Paul has been told everything and he is well prepared. Paul has a lot of supporters that are just waiting for him to try. This is like Mayberry…word on the street is that Drunkmeyer called a staunch Republican at 11:00 pm e!ection night..complaining about Paul winning. More to it, but you can imagine. Dmeyer is on his way out..along with that brainless wonder Hickey and Dmeyer’s gal pal Solberg.

The future is in the hands of citizens to build. Grass roots citizen groups committed to building the community they want. Local politics is a partnership, Elected and Citizens. The current administration dictates a failed future. Support Paul Adams at council meetings with a committed community voice and, solely we will see a future different from the past.

Excellent idea !! Let’s pack the place !!

‘shows this community just who he is’ you know, like Max!

Hopefully, this marks the beginning of the end for Bookmeyer and his goons. Paul will do well if they do not bully him to the point he becomes disfunctional. I have it on good authority that he has seen Hickey in action and knows exactly what he is.

Absolutely !

Well, we expected to hear from Boomeyerband we did.

maybe he is wrong, but I agree with him

Well I feel the same as” PC”, O’Brien was picked by boozmeyer. It really should of been Max and Adams in a run off but too many boozers bafoons out there. Paul will do a great job as long as he doesnt fold under the pressure of Bookies bafoons.

Complete and utter CRAP from a commentator who has only ever written crap comments. No surprise here.

Your just upset because he is straight edged!!!
