WASHINGTON, D.C. – Details on President-elect Donald J. Trump’s inauguration ceremony are being released today, with plenty of festivities lined up so far.
On Friday, January 20, 2017, Donald J. Trump and Governor Mike Pence will be sworn in as the 45th President and Vice President of the United States. The latest inauguration ceremony news and event information released by the Presidential Inauguration Committee released just this morning says four events are already planned, including:
– Welcome rally
– Parade
– 2 inaugural balls (Trump will reportedly attend both on Jan. 20)
– Ball saluting armed services & first responders
ABC news reports that Trump’s slogan “Make America Great Again!” will be “a central component of messaging around the event.”
“The theme is very simple,” Trump inaugural chairman Tom Barrack told ABC News. “The idea is to have a cross cut of harmony of America and normal Americans that reflects on them, not on the power and prestige of this man.”
