Domestic incident at liquor store leads to felony charge for Mason City man
MASON CITY – A domestic incident at a North End liquor store led to a police response and a felony charge for a Mason City man.
The incident took place Thursday evening, December 1, at the Northside Liquor Store, 1303 North Federal Avenue. Mason City police were called to the store for a domestic assault. Officers encountered 37-year-old Jason Robert Cody there and after an investigation, placed him under arrest on a charge of felony domestic abuse assault involving strangulation.
Cody was taken to the county jail, where he was held until he went before a judge. A no-contact order was set and he was released, pending a hearing set for December 16.
