WASECA, MINNESOTA – Police in this Southern Minnesota town are seeking a black male suspect who allegedly robbed a woman at gunpoint.
Waseca, Minnesota police are investigating an armed robbery which took place Wednesday night at about 8:30 PM in the parking lot of First National Bank, one half block west of the intersection of State Street and Elm Avenue. A woman, sitting in her car, was approached by the suspect who brandished a pistol and demanded her money and wallet. The suspect did not obtain any valuables from the victim.
The suspect is described as a black male, 5’8″ to 5’10” tall, and 25-30 years old. He was wearing dark pants, a darker colored winter jacket, and a scarf or bandana which partially covered his face. Witnesses report that he may have run to the North/Northwest along 2nd Street Northwest.
Officers are working to recover surveillance video from numerous sources. Police ask that if you have information on this incident, to call it in.
