DETROIT, MICHIGAN – The Vikings could not hold a late lead in the fourth quarter, falling to the Detroit Lions .
Vikings quarterback Sam Bradford completed 31 of 37 passes for 224 yards but threw a crucial interception to Darius Slay near the end of the fourth quarter that set the Lions up for the game-winning 40-yeard field goal from Matt Prater.

New Vikings kicker Kai Forth had given them a 13-10 lead in the fourth quarter, but the defense couldn’t hold off a tying field goal before the huge interception, that came within field goal range with just seconds remaining in the game.
The Vikings are now 6-5 with 5 games left in the season, while the Lions improve to 7-4 and lead the NFC North.
“We just move on and go out there and do everything we can to win the next five,” quarterback Sam Bradford said after the game.
“We didn’t execute well enough at the end of the game,” Vikings coach Mike Zimmer said.
