NEW YORK – President-elect Donald Trump took to Twitter and blasted the cast of a play who he says was “rude” to his vice president, who was in the audience.
Friday night, Vice President-elect Mike Pence attended the Broadway play ‘Hamilton’ and was met with some boos and cheers as he arrived. After the show, one of the actors, Brandon Dixon, delivered the following statement to Pence on behalf of the show:

Trump got wind of the incident, and tweeted some words and demanded an apology.
“The Theater must always be a safe and special place. The cast of Hamilton was very rude last night to a very good man, Mike Pence. Apologize!” Trump steamed.

Carly, I didn’t intend to squash your comment. I understand that some people don’t take criticism well. I saw Mr. Pence on tv this morning. He talked about a lot of things and one of them was the Hamilton experience. He said he was not offended by what happened. I liked that. He knows that not everyone in this country agrees with him or Mr. Trump. He said he also knows that there are people who are worried about the direction our country will be headed in a Trump administration. He seems like a reasonable man and one who can take criticism unlike his boss. The cast of Hamilton didn’t scream at him, call him ‘liar’, throw things, or refuse to act because he was there. They expressed their fear about the future. This is America. You have the right to do that as you well know. So, you need to develop a thicker skin (as do a lot of those people who voted Republican) and get ready for criticism. Most Democrats have learned that the past 8 years.
