CHARLES CITY – A New Hampton woman already on the state’s sex offender list is accused of a felony sexual assault in Floyd county.
Katie Leaine Kramer, age 25 of New Hampton, turned herself in to the Floyd county jail on September 22 in connection to a warrant for a charge of third-degree sexual assault. The alleged assault took place on August 1, 2015, court records show, and Floyd county sheriff Rick Lynch tells NIT the charge was brought by the Charles City police department.
Currently, after a number of continuances, Kramer is awaiting a jury trial on January 4 and a pre-trial conference on December 12.
Kramer is on the state’s sex offender list for a 2013 conviction in Floyd county for lascivious conduct with a minor. She was 19-years-old at the time of the offense and her victim was a female between the ages of 14-17.
