CHARLES CITY – Police were called to a Charles City retailer on a report of a shoplifter and a woman was taken to jail.
The incident took place November 5 at about 2:55 PM, when police were called to the 200 block of 11th Street on a report of a shoplifter there. At that location, they encountered 58-year-old Diane Yockstick of Charles City. She was arrested on a charge of fifth-degree theft and taken to jail.
Two days later, Yockstick entered a guilty plea and was ordered to pay $272.75 in fines and court fees.
Yockstick was also charged with theft by Charles City police back in 2008 and was guilty. She had to pay $280.80 in fines and court fees in that case, as well.
