CHARLES CITY – Police in Charles City responded to a fight and took two women to jail.
The incident took place Sunday morning, August 14 just after midnight, when police officers went to the 100 block of Smith Avenue for a possible fight. Upon arrival and investigation, Kyla Osterkamp, age 23 of Charles City, was arrested for domestic abuse causing injury, assault on a peace officer and public intoxication. Also during the scuffle, 22-year-old Tia Osterkamp was arrested for public intoxication and disorderly conduct.
Both women were taken to jail and soon released pending court dates. Tia Osterkamp will be due in court Wednesday, August 17. Kyla Osterkamp will be due in court August 26. A no-contact order was imposed on Kyla Osterkamp.
Looks like the redhead got the best of Tia! Both of these chicks are ugly!

If a cop is acting that way, I would hope that the victims would file a formal complaint and retain a lawyer for a possible civil suit. It’s that persons duty to take legal action against a dirty cop. I also would hope that the victim takes the case to court and let the judge know what this cop did. But if it didn’t happen this way and it was not written this way than one can only assume it is true. As far as the domestic case is concerned, those get dropped all the time. People reconcile and the victim is persuaded to drop the charges or not to show up for court. So that don’t matter to me but spitting is NASTY, FIlty, Disgusting thing to do to anyone. If they cop was instigating the situation than file a complaint. But spitting is an assault and it’s A SiCK thing to do to anyone. As far as the media, no one trusts the media and everyone knows there is always two sides to any story. But these girls were out of control and drunk in public. These girls are old enough to know better and spitting at or in the direction of another is not acceptable. Okay, imagine if the article worded things a little different. Two women jailed after loud drunk bickering lead to police being called and escalating the situation. As the girls were making peace, police began insulting women and began to arrest them, one of the women was so upset she spit towards an officer, police retaleated this action by charging her with assault to a peace officer and wrongly charging her with domestic violence.
