DES MOINES – Governor Terry Branstad announced Friday that he will attend events in Mason City and Clear Lake this week.

On Wednesday, August 3, Gov. Branstad and Lt. Gov. Kim Reynolds will attend The Iowa Downtown Conference.  The event is claimed to be the premier statewide annual conference for professionals and volunteers involved in downtown revitalization in Iowa and neighboring states.  It provides opportunities for attendees to make new connections, hear about the latest trends, acquire practical information and ideas, and learn strategies that are relevant to rural, mid-sized and urban communities and urban districts.  The event is set for the First United Methodist Church, 119 S. Georgia Avenue at 8:30 AM.

Gov. Branstad and Lt. Gov. Reynolds will award the Give Back Iowa Medium Size Employer Category Winner at First Citizens Bank, 2601 4th Street SW in Mason City at 9:15 AM.

Shortly thereafter, Gov. Branstad and Lt. Gov. Reynolds will visit McKesson Corporation, 2101 12th Ave. South in Clear Lake at 10:15 AM.
