MASON CITY – A Charles City woman who allegedly stole from Walmart this spring skipped her court appearance and is now wanted on an arrest warrant.
Mason City police were called to Walmart, 4151 4th Street SW, on Wednesday, April 13 at around 2:42 PM on a report of a shoplifter. Officers arrived and after an investigation, 21-year-old Shyvette Joanna Washington of Charles City was arrested. She was charged with fifth-degree theft and taken to jail.
Washington was jailed and later released. She entered a not guilty plea and was due in court June 2 for a non-jury trial. However, Washington failed to appear and a warrant for her arrest was issued and she has been wanted ever since. Call your local law enforcement agency of you know of her whereabouts.
