MASON CITY – Un-elected leader and outspoken citizen Max Weaver lauded the defeat of “a governor” and a “chamber of commerce” and others in a recent video and called for a community meeting at his garden to discuss a “new political force”.

Referencing the defeat of the Prestage Foods pork plant development that was supported by powerful “elite” groups and politicians, Mr. Weaver is calling for the common citizens to bond together once more to form a “new political force” for change in the community.

“Let’s call all of that gold you earned “political capital” … and you have a lot of it,” Mr. Weaver said. “I’m asking those of you with an interest and a passion in bringing out the tremendous economic and cultural future that Mason City and North Iowa could have. We will be the new drivers of this political machine, and we will share and show them (local governments, North Iowa Corridor, the Chamber of Commerce, local media, etc.) how to create, design and grow a 21st century, livable community for the young and young at heart. Let’s join together to create a new political force.”

Mr. Weaver will be holding a meeting for anyone interested on Thursday, June 9th at 6 PM. It will be held at Rancho Deluxe, 500 2nd Street NE.

“Let’s roll,” Mr. Weaver suggested. “I’ve never been a better opportunity than this one. We can be a powerful bunch. I hope you show up.”

Reggie you cannot come up with your own words. That shit has been said about the Mayor hating Max. Doomed WTF do you think is happening now? You think this is all great around here? Certainly not under Weavers regime either. Damn you are dummb. That’s ok though it brings the point of who’s right and who’s wrong much more clear. Keep up your writings!

Max is a nice guy and is usually well intentioned but he thrives on chaos Like Matt he HATES Eric and Robin. Anything they bring up he will oppose. If Max gets back into politics or has a powerful voice in this community we are doomed IMHO

I’ve been meaning to ask you Matt ,what were/are your thoughts on the plant and it’s subsequent rejection? You had a bunch of Anti -Prestage articles but you appeared unusually neutral. Just curious.

Good job Max! Looks like you are the envy of many! …thinking you have so much power, words like written here shows that for sure. How do they know what a cult leader is or a junk place?

I agree, I was ok with what ever was decided on the issue– that was the real majority. There were a few legitimate people against it, the rest were a bunch of nut cases with nothing better to do. May who work for much less than the $ 13.00 they were offering. Which, is most of Mason City, truth be told. Curries and Graham start at
$ 13.35 and all of these people screaming about the low wages. This town is a blue collar, low wage town and always will be. The people for Prestage, still have no clue how most of our community lives. They don’t know any other type of people and don’t care to. This let’s move along theory is great, but good luck with that Mx .

Max is like a cult leader that preys on disgruntled people. He plays builds on their complaints for personal gain to boost his own ego. He lost in the actual city election and now he’s trying to be the leader of a group of clueless fools who probably are like him & haven’t worked in yrs. and don’t plan to. Max doesn’t know shit. That’s why he lost the last election. When he was on the council the only progress he made was for his self. He secured a raise for council members. He wanted to bring a strip club to town and sell FLW for $1 on Ebay and called some arm chr. Ebay supposadly expert to sell it for MC. smh. Wjat an asshat! Stay in your “garden” (dump site) your mouth and group is not needed anywhere else.

Yeah we will see how much everyone cares when it comes time to vote. Max unfortunately there there are too many dead beats that wont vote so Boozemeyer will gather up his croonies and get voted in again. Hope the people of MC are sick of this tyrant.
