Mason City man jailed after disturbance at hospital

MASON CITY – Law enforcement was called to Mercy Hospital in Mason City Saturday night to deal with a combative subject.

Cerro Gordo deputies assisted Mason City police on a call to Mercy Hospital Saturday night, June 4 at about 8:40 PM. The deputies assisted the Mason City Police Department with a combative subject, 24-year-old Max John Lindsay of Mason City.

Lindsay was arrested on charges of interference with official acts and disorderly conduct and taken to the county jail, where he remained Sunday, held on bond.

Lindsay was accused back in 2011 with interference with official acts causing bodily injury to an officer, but he pled guilty to simple interference and assault on a peace officer. He still owes over $1,000 in fines and court fees.

Earlier this year, Lindsay pled guilty to felony second-degree burglary and was placed on probation.
