MASON CITY – A Mason City man who police say committed a violent domestic assault just a couple weeks ago returned to the scene and committed another assault.
Mason City police were alerted to a domestic situation Monday evening, May 9, around 5:02 PM. Upon arrival at the American Best Inn and Suites, 24 5th Street SW, they discovered a male subject, 23-year-old Corey Jerome Mays at a room there, in violation of a no-contact order with an alleged victim of a previous assault.
After an investigation, May was discovered to be in possession of marijuana and to have committed another assault. He was arrested on charges of first-offense domestic abuse assault, possession of marijuana, and violating a no-contact order.
Mays was taken to the county jail and soon posted bond and was released.
Mays was charged with felony domestic abuse assault involving strangulation back on the morning of Thursday, April 28 after a domestic incident at this same hotel. He awaits an appearance in court on this charge.
Must be somebody will just go get rid of this ugly ghetto beast, we need him gone, do not care how neither. Alot of ways to get him out of here, so he don’t ever come back.

The first assault in April is still being adjudicated in court.

This me this story is bull shit I got lied on the first time for a domestic that I didnt’ fucking commit second my lady told the fucking state attorney and who ever else she made the first alleged charges up yeah I was found at the hotel but not with her she wasn’t there and I was in another room third there never was a new fucking domestic charge the police went and made that part up they self because never was there another fucking assault that took place the day i was locked up so this is false as fuck they never got a statement nor did she write any statement saying this occurred and been trying to call these people and let them know it wasnt another domestic yeah I wasn’t suppose to be there because the no contact order suppose to be drop from the false statement but yeah I wrong on that but no I didn’t commit another fucking domestic when we been trying to get everything fix with the first incident so wen I do go to court these people gone find out I only suppose to had two charges and that’s it not another fucking physical situation that never happened we wasn’t even together nor with one another when I was arrested so I know that want stick when it wasn’t never reported
