One dead, several injured in Floyd county auto accident

logo-iowa-state-patrolCHARLES CITY – A Mason City man lost his life in a tragic auto collision in Floyd county Monday evening.

The accident took place Monday, April 25 at about 5:11 PM, near 260th Street and Highway 218.

According to a report from the Iowa State Patrol, 21-year-old Zachery Tomio Gueller was driving a 2003 Pontiac MTA northbound on US Highway 218 at 260th Street when he pulled over to the side of the road due to a flat tire. Turing on his emergency flashing lights, he exited the car in an attempt to change the tire. At this time, 28-year-old Loren Charles Musch of Clinton, Iowa, approached traveling northbound in his 2011 Chevy Silverado. He then drove his truck into the shoulder of the road and struck Gueller. The truck then struck the parked car from behind. Both vehciles entered the median as a result of the collision.

Zachery Tomio Gueller died as a result of the crash. Injured in the crash was an infant, Serina Lee Gueller and 22-year-old Kennika Royale Gueller, both of Mason City. Also hurt was 22-year-old Courtney Lynn Swessinger of Des Moines. All injured persons were wearing seat belts, the report states. They were taken by AMR ambulance to Floyd County Memmorial Hospital.

Well let’s get it rolling… Indeed it was a tragic accident.. But where are all the “he was texting” comments?? Because there just can’t be a accident anymore without that being the cause… Right?? Where are the mothers against texting… Oh wait this cause don’t work for them because they are all busy driving around texting their little darlings every 2 seconds…
