WAVERLY, IOWA – No drugs were found when police took a K9 to a middle school to conduct a search.
The Waverly Police Department reports that Wednesday morning, they went to the local middle school to search for illegal items.
At 8:45 AM the Waverly Police Department conducted a K-9 search at the Waverly-Shell Rock Middle School, located at 501 Heritage Way. This cooperation between the W-SR School District and Waverly PD is intended for school safety and a training opportunity, police said.
“We are pleased to report that no illegal items were located during this search,” police said.
The Waverly police department was assisted by the Black Hawk County Sheriff’s Office.
