MASON CITY – Mason City’s newest liquor store is conveniently located on North Federal Avenue near downtown and waiting for you to stop in.
New Don Liquor & Tobacco recently opened at 719 North Federal Avenue, just a couple blocks north of the Fareway grocery store. It is owned and operated by Francis “Bob” Gill, a naturalized citizen from India who has been in America for over a decade.
Francis is an aspiring entrepreneur who says he is very excited to open his new store. He is rapidly filling his store shelves and coolers with lots of different liquors, soft drinks, tobacco products and cigarettes – sold at the the state minimum prices.
“I’m very glad to be here,” Francis told NIT Wednesday afternoon. “I know this location will be successful, and I already have some great customers.”
Francis says he’s excited about the new developments coming to downtown Mason City and is sure that will benefit him and other nearby businesses.
“How can it not benefit?” Francis says. “I’m just glad to be open and I look forward to everyone stopping in to chat and pick up whatever they need.”
New Don Liquor & Tobacco is open Monday through Saturday 9 AM to 2 AM and Sunday 10 AM to 1 AM.
