WEST UNION, IOWA – Law enforcement had to clean up spilled milk from a semi trailer after the driver lost control and tipped the vehicle onto the highway.

On March 8, 2016 at approximately 2:11 AM, the Fayette County Sheriff’s office responded to a semi rollover accident east of West Union on Highway 18 and Ironwood Road. Once deputies arrived, they found a semi loaded with containers of milk driven by Charlie Lewis Craver, age 29 of Armarillo, Texas. Craver lost control and rolled his 2012 Freightliner onto the Highway.

Multiple gallons of milk were spilled into the ditch and the rest were salvaged by the Fire Department. Hwy 18 was closed down for approximately three hours due to the cleanup. Craver was cited for Failure to Maintain Control.

The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the West Union Fire Department, Clermont Fire Department, and TriState Ambulance. Craver suffered minor injuries and was treated and released from Palmer Lutheran Hospital. The semi and trailer are considered a total loss.

should have been a Mason City Cop , they get that ” special treatment”
Should have just said he lost his train of thought! That seems to work

No Kidding! He was probably texting at the time?

@ SBT – These Cops gotta stick together! Next time, the MCPD might be called upon to “investigate” a CG County “oops”!
