MASON CITY – A deputy spotted a driver traveling the wrong way on a street, leading to her arrest on drug charges.
The incident took place January 15, 2016 at about 11:44 PM when a Cerro Gordo deputy conducted a traffic stop at Kum & Go, 418 South Federal. The driver, 37-year-old Jill Renee Joyner, has allegedly violated a one-way traffic designation. This led to the deputy approaching and investigating the driver and vehicle. Joyner was then arrested on a charge of first-offense possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
She was soon released from jail and will face a hearing on February 5 on the drug charge and trial in March on the paraphernalia charge.
For the record, she was completely sober, just made the mistake of turning the wrong way out of the alley where there are no one way signs, in which she instantly turned because she realized what she did. Just so happens there was a cop there. She’s a hard working woman so get off her shit.jj
Isn’t there any self respect anymore? Women used to be really respectable no t now they want to be the bitch that loves dope, booze and what ever they can shove in their mouths. Too bad for their offspring.
So just who is this woman? Work? Dirtbag or what?
Yep-she was so high she could read the signs and that makes it the signs fault. Those streets have been one way for years and no one else has a problem until a doper comes around.
Arbitrary confusing street regulations cause confusion. This is another one of society’s tricks designed to overly complicate matters. All one way streets should be abolished. Keep society simple and uniform.
There you go….. make the street signs the victim in this crime.
