MASON CITY – A Winnebago county felon who was sent to Beje Clark last year and put on probation is accused of stealing a personal lubricant from Pure Pleasure adult store.
Cerro Gordo county law enforcement was called to the Pure Pleasure adult store, 10480 265th Street in rural Mason City, on January 16 just before 6:00 PM when a theft attempt was reported.
According to crime report, 30-year-old Eric John Kruse of Forest City “did take control of and try to deprive Pure Pleasure of a $20.00 bottle of Zero Tolerance Masturbation lube.” He was caught by the security system at the store by employees as he was in possession of the item.
The deputy arrived at Pure Pleasure and arrested Kruse, who was taken to jail. He later pleaded not guilty and will face a non-jury trial on March 1.
Kruse had been sent to Beje Clark back in March of 2015 after a guilty plea in Winnebago county to third-degree theft and trespass causing damage. He was put on three years of probation in that case. He still owes $2,718.65 in fines, court costs and restitution in that case.
Additionally, Kruse was released from probation in November of last year in a Story county case of supplying alcohol to minors. He still owes $760.40 in fines and court costs in that case.
