Mitchell county woman wanted for skipping court

OSAGE, IOWA – Law enforcement in Mitchell county is seeking a woman on a warrant after she skipped a court hearing.

Megan Lea Niess, age 26 of Osage, was charged by St. Ansgar police with driving under suspension. She was due in court on January 8 for a hearing and failed to appear. For the second time since November, an arrest warrant was issued for her by a judge. The Mitchell county sheriff’s office is seeking Niess, who claims to work in Manly at a nursing home.
