Minors caught with booze at NIACC campus entrance

MASON CITY – There was more police activity at College Drive in Mason City involving youngsters with controlled substance issues.

Law enforcement conducted a traffic stop at College Drive and 4th Street SE – the south entrance to the NIACC campus – at about 10:53 PM Saturday night, January 16.

The traffic stop ensnared two minors in alcohol offenses; two passengers were cited for minor in consumption of alcohol. The driver was cited for no insurance. The names of the individuals were not released.

NIT reported in December that a traffic stop at the north entrance to the NIACC campus – 12th Street and College Drive, yielded two arrests as the individuals in a car possessed meth, marijuana, drug paraphernalia, Tizanidine, Amphetamine, Alprazolam, and Hydromorphone.
