Fire destroys Rudd building Thursday morning (photos & video)
RUDD, IOWA – Emergency responders were in Rudd Thursday morning battling a fire.
Floyd County Search and Rescue reported that they along with others were in Rudd for an active structure fire this morning.
“Battling the fire are units from Rudd, Rockford, Nora Springs and Floyd. Charles City Fire Rescue has RIT duty. Nora Springs Ambulance is covering EMS.”
They advised that if you are in the town of Rudd, to avoid the area of the fire.
The address of the fire was at 78 Chickasaw Street and is owned by Tony Wood. Mr. Wood was at the scene Thursday afternoon assessing the damage. Authorities told NIT that no one was hurt in the fire.
