Mason City police said today that they arrested 21-year-old De’airreo Jerrid Cryer on a charge of felony C child endangerment with serious injury.
Cryer was transported to the Cerro Gordo jail and is being held there on bond.
The arrest comes as a result of a joint-investigation between the Iowa Department of Human Services and the Mason City police Department.
The victim, a 6-week-old infant, was transported to Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, with undisclosed injuries.

Word on the street is they are starting to move to Clear Lake as our cops are on to them. I just bet there are some welfare apartments over there just like Chuck town, Northwood and of course we have enough slum housing in Mason City. My feeling is the women get what they deserve but its the babies and children that end up hurt. So true. Ya know by the name he is an import. We need to find a way to take back this town. It is not right that lifetime residents should have to be afraid to go thru certain parts of town for fear of these animals creating a problem. They prey on vulnerable white women as u say.
