MASON CITY – A North Iowa couple with at least 5 different illegal drugs was stopped just outside the NIACC campus Monday before 3 AM.
According to Cerro Gordo Sheriff Kevin Pals, a traffic stop was conducted at 12th Street NE and College Drive at the NIACC campus on November 30, 2015 at 2:51 AM, apparently due to the driver not stopping at a stop sign. During the traffic stop and ensuing investigation and search, drugs were found that appeared to be prepped for delivery.
Drugs that were found, according to Sheriff Pals, include: Meth, marijuana, drug paraphernalia, Tizanidine, Amphetamine, Alprazolam, and Hydromorphone.
The two occupants in the vehicle – the driver 22-year-old Alyssa Marie Sandry of Forest City and passenger 28-year-old Ernesto Gregory Ruiz of Mason City – were arrested.

You should report disrespectful jaywalkers immediately by dialing 911 before someone gets hurt too! People parked (that means no one in the drivers seat and the car is in PARK) in fire lanes at hyvee/hobby lobby should IMMEDIATELY be reported as well. ALL LAWS SHOULD BE ENFORCED TO THE MAX. Right?
