Pelosi also specified the special liquors, by brand, she wanted on the flights. It’s my understanding military flights don’t serve liquor on board. Taxpayers need to be reimbursed for these expenditures. There needs to be a watchdog committee overseeing this wasteful use of our money. Expenses need to be detailed, not just one lump sum, alcohol excluded, no “tag along” family members, must have a purpose for going with a detailed report post trip. Guess what? I have written about making Mason City a better place, where people want to live. A civilized place to live. I have suggested laws that promote a more attractive community. Today’s item should be the regulation of snowmobiles within the City limits.
Iowa State code has laws on the books for operation of snowmobiles, including operating on roadways, and proof of financial liability coverage (Iowa Code § 321.1(24B)). However, it does not address the operation of a snowmobile on private property where no express permission has been given.
The City of Mason City, through Home Rule powers, has the ability to prohibit and enforce those acts. Operating on private property opens up all sorts of liability issues for the property owner. I propose that the City prohibit the following acts within City limits:
*Operation of any snowmobile on private property, residential or commercial (as defined by law), without express permission of that owner shall be prohibited, and it’s operator charges with trespass for each property violated;
*Any operator charged with operating a snowmobile in prohibited locations shall be fined $1,000 per violation;
*Operation of a snowmobile shall be prohibited on:
1. Bike paths
2. Trails
3. Sidewalks
4. City Parks
5. Utility rights of way
*Any operator of a snowmobile operating on any railroad right of way shall be charged with Felony trespass;
*Any citizen reporting the illegal operation of a snowmobile and where it is based, shall be awarded a bounty of $200;
*Operators of snowmobiles operating on private property shall be liable for any and all damage to that property;
*Property owners shall be free from any claim of all liability stemming from the illegal operation of a snowmobile on their property.
These are not unreasonable laws. They are meant to protect the rights of private property owners. You will find that successful, growing communities already have such prohibitions in place, and enforce them.

COUNCIL WORKSESSION
The City Council of the City of Mason City, Iowa, met in Worksession pursuant to law and rules of said Council, in the 2nd Floor Conference Room of City Hall at 6:00 P.M., on January 17, 2019. The meeting was called to order by the Mayor and on roll being called, there were present, Mayor in the Chair Schickel and the following Council Members: Lee, Jaszewski, Adams, Thoma, Symonds, Masson. Absent: Masson (arrived at 6:44 p.m.)
Finance Director Jacobson broke the discussion down into funds (Capital improvements by fund yearly comparison, General Projects Fund, Storm Sewer Fund, Ambulance, Sanitation Fund, Water Fund, Sewer Fund, Local Option Sales and Service Tax, Road Use Tax Fund, G.O. Bonds, Outside Funding Sources).
Conclusion: Jacobson stated with the projects discussed the following increases would apply for Enterprise Funds:
$1.19 water increase
$0.43 sewer
$0.55 sanitation
$1.00 storm sewer
$3.17 a month Utility Rate & Levy Increase or a yearly increase of $38.01 for the average homeowner
Jacobson advised the minimum bill for an average homeowner was in the $60.00 a month range so this was roughly an overall increase of 5%.
Mayor Schickel asked how we compared to other cities with Jacobson stating our Sanitation fees were really low and we were in the 40% range for sewer and storm sewer. He stated the water rates were in the 65% range based on other cities.
Jacobson noted Emergency Management had outgrown their space at the Police Department and were looking to purchase a building with the City’s share of the purchase being in the neighborhood of $28,000 and that would be incorporated into the Operating at the next Council Worksession.
The Mayor adjourned the meeting at 8:00 P.M.

Before I left some wiggle room saying there is a 95% chance of Trump going to prison. Trump has 3 options now.
He can flee the country which he will not do because his legal counsel cannot tell him that and he wouldn’t listen to them if they did tell him to flee.

Or he can die in prison. There is a 100% chance of him going to prison if he does not flee the United States or die. There is no 4th option even if Pence pulls a Gerold Ford. The kids will all be pardoned for the federal crimes. NY State has Trump on tax fraud at the least. 10 years minimum on Riker’s Island means he dies in prison.
Mueller’s report will absolutely not exculpate Trump. Someone inside Mueller’s team leaked this or Mueller himself did. That means without question they have proof of Trump and his family committing multiple felonies. The Republican fantasy of Mueller exonerating Trump is in ashes after last night.
Mueller has effectively closed off all of Trump’s options. The moment he is no longer president, he will be immediately arrested and taken into custody either by the FBI or the State of NY. Do not pass go, he is going directly to jail. This is the reality that Mitch McConnell is waking up to and this was the writing on the wall that Paul Ryan and the rest of the Republican retirees knew was coming. Have you ever wondered, if all the politicians are against inflation and high taxes, WHY do we have inflation and high taxes?
You and I don’t propose a federal budget. The President does.
You and I don’t have the Constitutional authority to vote on appropriations. The House of Representatives does.
You and I don’t write the tax code, Congress does.
You and I don’t set fiscal policy, Congress does.
You and I don’t control monetary policy, the Federal Reserve Bank does.
One hundred senators, 435 congressmen, one President, and nine Supreme Court justices equates to 545 human beings out of the 300 million are directly, legally, morally, and individually responsible for the domestic problems that plague this country.
I excluded the members of the Federal Reserve Board because that problem was created by the Congress. In 1913, Congress delegated its Constitutional duty to provide a sound currency to a federally chartered, but private, central bank.
I excluded all the special interests and lobbyists for a sound reason. They have no legal authority. They have no ability to coerce a senator, a congressman, or a President to do one cotton-picking thing. I don’t care if they offer a politician $1 million dollars in cash. The politician has the power to accept or reject it. No matter what the lobbyist promises, it is the legislator’s responsibility to determine how he votes.
Those 545 human beings spend much of their energy convincing you that what they did is not their fault. They cooperate in this common con regardless of party.
What separates a politician from a normal human being is an excessive amount of gall. No normal human being would have the gall of a Speaker, who stood up and criticized the President for creating deficits.. ( The President can only propose a budget. He cannot force the Congress to accept it.)
The Constitution, which is the supreme law of the land, gives sole responsibility to the House of Representatives for originating and approving appropriations and taxes. Who is the speaker of the House?( John Boehner. He is the leader of the majority party. He and fellow House members, not the President, can approve any budget they want. ) If the President vetoes it, they can pass it over his veto if they agree to. [The House has passed a budget but the Senate has not approved a budget in over three years. The President’s proposed budgets have gotten almost unanimous rejections in the Senate in that time. ]
It seems inconceivable to me that a nation of 300 million cannot replace 545 people who stand convicted — by present facts — of incompetence and irresponsibility. I can’t think of a single domestic problem that is not traceable directly to those 545 people. When you fully grasp the plain truth that 545 people exercise the power of the federal government, then it must follow that what exists is what they want to exist.
If the tax code is unfair, it’s because they want it unfair.
If the budget is in the red, it’s because they want it in the red.
If the Army & Marines are in Iraq and Afghanistan it’s because they want them in Iraq and Afghanistan ..
If they do not receive social security but are on an elite retirement plan not available to the people, it’s because they want it that way.
You do realize your copy and paste is over 5 years old. Boehner isn’t even in the House now.
You do realize he had nothing to do with this. Read it and STFU.
There are no insoluble government problems.
Do not let these 545 people shift the blame to bureaucrats, whom they hire and whose jobs they can abolish; to lobbyists, whose gifts and advice they can reject; to regulators, to whom they give the power to regulate and from whom they can take this power.
Above all, do not let them con you into the belief that there exists disembodied mystical forces like “the economy,” “inflation,” or “politics” that prevent them from doing what they take an oath to do.
Those 545 people, and they alone, are responsible. They, and they alone, have the power.
They, and they alone, should be held accountable by the people who are their bosses. Provided the voters have the gumption to manage their own employees… We should vote all of them out of office and clean up their mess!

Not one of these taxes existed 100 years ago, & our nation was the most prosperous in the world. We had absolutely no national debt, had the largest middle class in the world, and Mom stayed home to raise the kids.

At around 18:40,Minneapolis Center Air Traffic Controller (ATC) for low altitude flights in this area responded to a call from a Piper Navajo (N3558X) that he was losing power, and declared an emergency. He then lost all power, and was losing altitude quickly. ATC proceeded to guide the aircraft to runway 30 at Mason City.
In the mean time, Minneapolis Center notified Mason City dispatch. Mason City Fire, Cerro Gordo sheriff’s department, and State Patrol responded. The plane landed without incident and at 18:52 reported to ATC he was okay.
The flight originated in Waterloo, and was going to Sioux Falls. The aircraft is based in Tea, SD.
The VA and its programs are being ran by crooks with no accountability. If I had stolen funds meant for needy vets, and gave them to my family members, id be in prison. Those who have be shown to have done it recently have not only kept their jobs, but have not been reprimanded. All forms of government have this issue. Someone does something wrong, and it falls on blind eyes. A citizen does the same thing, and they are thrown in prison, and have to pay everything back.
Surprising that you can even breathe, given that your head is so deep in your rectum.
