Trucker blown off interstate while traveling through Iowa Wednesday

logo-iowa-state-patrolCOUNCIL BLUFFS – As Iowa braced for severe weather Wednesday, a Florida man traveling through the state was blown off the road by a possible tornado.

According to a report from the Iowa State Patrol, 30-year-old Alexandru Coclenci of Orlando, Florida was driving his 2010 Kenworth Semi on Interstate 80 about 45 miles east of Council Bluffs when a “severe weather event” with a “possible tornado” blew the semi off the road. The Kenworth came to rest in the westbound ditch.

Coclenci, however was not injured.
