MASON CITY – Police were called to Walmart in Mason City for a detained shoplifter Thursday evening.
Walmart loss prevention reported they had a detained shoplifter Thursday evening at about 8:36 PM. An officer arrived and a female subject, 55-year-old Debra Sue Vonderlinde, was arrested for aggravated misdemeanor third degree theft. She was jailed and then released pending a court date.
Vonderlinde pled guilty in April of this year to third degree theft and was put on probation. Records show she has failed to pay any amount toward a balance of $373.23 in fines and court fees she owes from that case. Â Mason City police arrested her for stealing an item valued at under $14.00.
