A former cornfield will soon offer sparkling new Nissan’s for sale

MASON CITY – Under construction at this time on Mason City’s west side will be the new home to the local Nissan dealership.

What once was a corn field in front (south) of the Cinema West theaters will be home to a Nissan dealership. Those vehicles are currently for sale at 1780 South Monroe formerly as a part of Community Motors, which is selling its holding here in town.

The Nissan dealership was purchased by the Rydell Group, which also owns the former Community Motors dealership at 4510 4th Street SW, near the golf driving range and the Cinema West Theaters. They purchased the “tiny cornfield” between the former Community Motors lot and the driveway to the theater for construction of the new Nissan dealership there.

Friday, work was well underway as Charlson Excavating was at the site, moving dirt and smoothing the ground, prepping for construction that will soon follow.

According to an employee at the current Nissan dealership, that lot will remain open under Community Motors and sell Dodge, Ram, Jeep, and Chrysler new vehicles as well as used vehicles.

There goes their warranty on your nissan if you have all your oil changes done there. They would guarantee all your internal parts for 10 years or 250,000 miles. This was if you bought new. We new this was a joke of a warranty because salemans did say h*ll Skarlis will always be here.No they just wanted our cash money no loan deal. But we did get good deal at time on $24,000 car in 2007 for $21,500 cash deal, not bad.
