IOWA CITY – The University of Iowa announced Thursday morning that ticket sales for the “Grapple on the Gridiron” passed the 16,000 mark at 9:15 a.m. (CT), 75 minutes after tickets were made available to the general public.

The college wrestling dual pitting Iowa against Oklahoma State at Kinnick Stadium on Nov. 14 is expected to break the NCAA dual attendance record of 15,996.

Tickets are $10 and can be purchased by contacting the UI Athletics Ticket Office over the phone at 1-800-IA-HAWKS or online at hawkeyesports.com.

UI students get free admission to the event, but everyone must have a ticket. All student seating is general admission, which includes a limited number of seats on the field.

The Iowa football team hosts Minnesota that night inside Kinnick Stadium at 7 p.m. Tickets are still available at the UI Athletics Ticket Office.
