MASON CITY – Awaiting sentencing on a charge of felony 2nd degree theft, a Mason City man was nabbed for stealing at Walmart early Sunday.
Anthony James Fickel Schoneman, age 20, was arrested after Mason City police were called to Walmart, 4151 4th Street SW, Sunday morning at about 12:30 AM. He was charged with 5th degree theft and taken to jail.
Schoneman was awaiting a jury trial Tuesday morning on a charge of felony 2nd degree theft. He was charged by Mason City police in May. However, he entered a guilty plea in June and was released from jail on July 13 as he awaits sentencing on August 17.
