MASON CITY – Police were called to the downtown area late Monday night to arrest a man they say was out-of-control.
According to Mason City police, a disturbance was reported at the 300 block of 2nd Street NW after 10 PM on July 13. Upon arrival of police, a male suspect, 33-year-old Kristopher James Charlson of Mason City, was at the scene allegedly “causing a problem”. Charlson was arrested on charges of aggravated public intoxication, interference with official acts and obstruction of emergency communications.
Charlson is being held in the county jail on bond as he awaits a July 31 court date.
