The Annual Iowa Wing Ding will be the largest ever gathering of Democratic Party faithful at the Historic Surf Ballroom on August 14th in Clear Lake, Iowa.
The Annual Democratic event has grown substantially over the years and now is recognized as a statewide event that provides grass roots funding for Democratic candidates running in the twenty- three counties that sponsor and support the event.
Four of the five announced Democratic Party Candidates running for President will be in attendance to meet the electorate: Former Rhode Island Governor Lincoln Chafee, Secretary Hillary Clinton, former Maryland Governor Martin O’Malley, and U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders.
Attendees will once again experience an event filled with great food and will have an opportunity to meet area and state officeholders from the Democratic Party.
Another highlight of the evening will be a special announcement by a new candidate declaring a run for U.S. House of Representatives. The Annual Beacon Award will also be presented honoring an outstanding Democrat who represents the best attributes of Democratic Party values.
Entertainment for the evening will be provided by Paul Micich and WORLD PORT.
