CHATTANOOGA, TN – Five people, including the alleged shooter, are dead after a rampage at two military recruitment centers in Tennessee.
The FBI’s Knoxville Field Office, along with the Chattanooga Police Department and other law enforcement partners, are working jointly to investigate today’s shootings at a military recruitment center and a reserve center in Chattanooga, Tennessee in which four individuals were killed and three injured.
The shooter, Mohammod Youssuf Abdulazeez, 24, is also deceased. Reports say he was born in Kuwait.
While it would be premature to speculate on the motives of the shooter at this time, the FBI said afterward, a thorough investigation of the tragedy will be undertaken by that agency.

Even bases in kuwait are weapons free basically. When we came from iraq to kuwait we had to stop at the border, unload our weapons and store the ammo so we did have our weapons but no ammo for it. Our military needs to be armed, everywhere! Stop this ban on military bases or at work, or after work for that matter for being armed! This really pisses me off. Four Marines are dead for no reason. The photo that I saw on this shooting showed the bullet holes on the door or wall next to the sign, “this is a gun free zone.” What more do you need to know? The shooter knew they didn’t have guns. Our military are fish in a barrel every place these guys and gals go. We need to change the policy and let them, make them wear arms at all times that they are in uniform and let them carry if they want when not in uniform.
