DES MOINES – NIACC sophomore Adrine Monagi won two events Friday at the Grand View Invitational.
Monagi won the long jump with a leap of 5.29 meters and won the 200-meter dash in a time of 25.90 seconds.
Also for the NIACC women Friday, sophomore Sharon Toako was second in the javelin (38.09 meters) and the 4×100-meter relay team of Ellen Padmore, Rellie Kaputin, Monagi and Chione Brooks was second in 49.54 seconds.
For the NIACC men, the Trojans placed first, second and fourth in the 800. Freshman Imad Amenzou won the 800 in 1:55.57, Trey Simons was second in 1:55.76 and Oryiane Espeut was fourth in 1:58.67.
Ruben Dorsey was third in the triple jump (12.68 meters).
