MINNEAPOLIS – A missing woman who was being searched for was discovered to have entered the Mississippi River.
A 22-year-old University of Minnesota sorority member who was missing since early March 27 is presumed dead at this time. Minneapolis police said that video evidence was located that indicates Jennifer Houle entered the river from the 10th Avenue Bridge on Friday morning.
No suspects are being sought.
It has been reported that Ms. Houle jumped into the Mississippi River from that bridge, only a short distance from the Minneapolis Irish pub where friends last saw her alive. A recovery team is now searching for her body in the river.
