RURAL CERRO GORDO COUNTY – A North Iowa woman was taken to Mercy Hospital Thursday after her car crashed.
According to the Cerro Gordo County Sheriff’s Office, a green 2015 Ford Taurus driven by 33-year-old Julie Rockwell of Meservey, Iowa was westbound on 210th Street when the vehicle left the road. Emergency responders arrived soon thereafter, and she was taken to Mercy Hospital with unknown injuries. A passenger in the vehicle, 5-year-old Darik Rockwell, was treated by paramedics at the scene and released with no injuries.
The accident remains under investigation.
