WATERLOO – In the last week two residential burglaries have occurred in the outlying areas of Black Hawk County.
Suspects are known to come to the door of a residence and if no one answers the residence was entered. If the door is answered the person asks for directions to a road and then leaves the area.
Black Hawk county law enforcement asks that you get the license plate number of the vehicle to assist law enforcement in the event of a residential burglary.
Any suspicious subjects or vehicles – people that seem to be out of place – please get a good description of them and the vehicle they have along with a license plate number. Immediately notify the law enforcement agency responsible for your area.
“We would much rather check someone out and find out if they do belong in a certain area than have people not call in and a residence is burglarized,” the sheriff’s office said.
