SEATTLE – In Aaron White’s final game in an Iowa uniform, the Hawkeyes bowed out of the NCAA Tournament in the third round with a humbling 87-68 loss to Gonzaga.

Iowa never led in the game, and couldn’t stop Gonzaga’s sharpshooters, who shot 61% for the game. The Hawkeyes trailed 46-29 at the half.

Aaron White has made more free throws than any other Big Ten player in the last 50 years.

“It’s been such a blessing to wear the Iowa uniform,” he said after the game.

The game was the final one for Iowa seniors Aaron White, Gabe Olaseni, Josh Oglesby and Kyle Denning. The Hawkeyes finished 22-12 on the season that included the program’s first NCAA Tournament win in 14 years, after a second-round win over Davidson.

Gonzaga was led by Kyle Wiltjer with 24 points, who shot 10-12 from the field.
