Wanted Mason City man located after disturbance

MASON CITY – A wanted Mason City man was located after police were called to investigate a disturbance.

Police were called to 853 8th Street SE just before midnight Thursday after a caller reported an intoxicated and belligerent male subject at that location. Officers discovered 34-year-old Manuel Trevino Hernandez at the residence, who had been wanted on an arrest warrant since January in connection to an incident last August 9 when he was accused of beating up his girlfriend as she held a small child. He took a lenient plea deal and pleaded guilty to only aggravated public intoxication, but stands accused of violating his probation in that agreement. He is being held int he county jail on $2,000 cash-only bond as he awaits a court date on March 30.
