CLEAR LAKE – An Iowa woman lost her life after a two-vehicle collision Thursday afternoon.
A 2002 Dodge Ram driven by 67-year-old Mark McCrary of Traer, Iowa was southbound on Interstate 35 at the 193 mile marker at about 12:44 PM Thursday, March 19 when it stalled in the middle lane and became disabled. Tragically, a semi-truck driven by 54-year-old Edward Travis of Paducah, Kentucky struck the rear of Mccrory’s vehicle, killing 67-year-old Joleen McCrary and injuring Mark McCrary. Edward Travis was also injured.
Both Travis and Mark McCrary were taken by ambulance to Mercy Hospital in Mason City for treatment of undisclosed injuries.
