DES MOINES – The Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation is helping in an investigation now being conducted into the discovery of a deceased woman in a grassy field.
On Monday, March 16, 2015, at approximately 4:40 AM, the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office responded to death investigation in Elliott, Iowa.
A body of a female in her 40’s was discovered in a grassy field on the northern edge of Elliott, Iowa.
At this time, the death doesn’t appear to be suspicious, but the investigation is on-going.
An autopsy is currently being performed at the Iowa Office of the State Medical Examiner in Ankeny, Iowa.
The Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI), Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office and the Iowa Office of the State Medical Examiner are assisting with this investigation.
No further information will be released until the autopsy results are complete.
