Wanted Mason City woman jailed in assault case

MASON CITY – A Mason City woman wanted since January turned herself into the county jail.

At 7:48 PM Friday, March 12, Ashley Phyllis Ashby, age 27, turned herself into the Cerro Gordo Country Jail on a warrant in an assault causing bodily injury case in which she received probation. The Iowa Department of Corrections says she has violated her probation in that case. She was jailed until March 13, when she was released pending a court date.

In August of 2012, Ashby was sentenced to seven days in jail and given a $625 fine for driving while barred, habitual offender.

In September of 2011, Ashby was given a fine of $100 for disorderly conduct.
