Mason City’s annual community-wide cleanup set for April 25th

nit north iowa today adopt a road 2MASON CITY – You can help make Mason City a cleaner community by pitching in next month during the city’s annual cleanup day.

The city’s 22nd- annual Community-Wide Cleanup and rally, held in conjunction with Earth Day and Earth Week, will take place on Saturday, April 25th.

Teams will collect trash in designated areas from 8 to 10 a.m., followed by the rally from 10 to noon near Prairie Playground in East Park.

The post-cleanup rally will feature free entertainment, games and activities for all ages, food, info booths on going green, and prizes for registered cleanup crews. This year’s prizes include Adventureland tickets, a pool party, gift certificates and more.

Anyone interested in pitching in may contact Mallory Mitchell, Mason City Volunteer Coordinator, to register a cleanup team for 2015. Teams of all ages and all group sizes are invited to participate.
